The FurlongŪ L.O.L. 127 Hemiarthroplasty
The Furlong® LOL 127 for use with cement is a hemi arthroplasty
replacement system based on the proven 1979 design of the Furlong®
Straight Stem.
The stem is made in stainless steel, double tapered, collarless and
polished for longevity of cement fixation. The neck/stem angle of the
Furlong® LOL 127 is reduced to 127° in order to minimise the
risk of dislocation from the normal acetabulum. The modular design enables
the conversion to a total hip replacement a simple procedure without
the necessity of removing the femoral stem.
Physiological heads of both monopolar and bipolar design are available
in one millimetre increments and the femoral stems have two spigot lengths
for per-operative neck length adjustment.
Five stem widths provide a versatility to satisfy most patient requirements.
